Congratulations! Children of Vietnam's Program Ranked in Top Ten
Children of Vietnam, an organization featured by DFW in April 2009, has been recognized as providing one of the ten top programs in Vietnam for serving people with disabilities.
Children of Vietnam’s program, Hope System of Care, has been recognized as one of ten top programs serving the disabled in Vietnam by the Life is Beautiful Campaign and an independent panel of experts. Hope System of Care (HSC) integrates and coordinates services to the poorest of children with disabling conditions, including those negatively affected by exposure to Agent Orange/dioxin. It is estimated between 30% to 50% of children with disabilities are living in severe poverty with little or no prospects for their future. HSC ensures that each child and family receives critical services unique to their needs that will best facilitate the child’s maximum physical, social and emotional recovery, and integration into the community to improve the quality of life.
The Life is Beautiful Campaign use
d a set of criteria to identify those programs that
respond to urgent needs, involvement of local community, are
sustainable, show results, are effective and can be replicated.
Dining for Women raised and donated $26,947 to Children of Vietnam in 2009.
