“Scare Poverty Away” Event in Chicago Benefits DFW!
Hyatt Regency Chicago is teaming with Dining for Women, to raise awareness and support for women and girls’ causes in the developing world, beginning with an Oct. 28 pumpkin-carving contest.
At Hyatt Regency Chicago’s “Scare Poverty Away” event, Halloween revelers can enjoy a pumpkin-carving contest, special Halloween cocktail—all while giving back to people living in terrifying circumstances around the world.
The public can watch the pumpkins being carved by area artists and hotel chefs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday in Hyatt Regency Chicago’s East Tower lobby at 151 East Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60601. They then can vote for their favorite pumpkin in the lobby or on Hyatt Regency Chicago’s Facebook page.
After the pumpkin carving and throughout the weekend, Hyatt Regency Chicago will feature a special “Scare Poverty Away” cocktail in BIG Bar with all drink proceeds going to Dining for Women. DFW has helped hundreds of thousands of women and girls get safe havens, jobs, schooling, AIDS medicines, safe water, and other support across the developing world for nine years.
