DFW friends,
Our goal this year is to have a representative from every chapter at our conference. With so much growth and change happening, it is an exciting time to be a part of Dining For Women. We want every chapter to feel that excitement and be an integrated part of our organization. Please come yourself - or help send someone to represent your chapter - to relay vital information and bring back renewed inspiration for our mission.
Date: Thursday, September 23rd – Sunday,September 26th. The conference begins with dinner on Thursday evening and ends Sunday at 12:30pm.
Location: Atlanta, Georgia – The Lodge at Simpsonwood, Conference and Retreat Center, located just north of Metro Atlanta and situated on 227 acres of woodland nestled alongside the Chattahoochee River

Sondra Shaw-Hardy : Sondra is Co- founder of Women's Philanthropy Institute now housed at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. Sondra’s sixth book, Women and Philanthropy: Boldly Shaping a Better World will be published this fall. Sondra has been a faculty member, politician, public relations consultant, development director and manager.
Kathleen Colson : Founder of The BOMA Fund and owner of African Safari Planners. Kathleen will highlight the impact of DFW’s donations on the women of Northern Kenya and will describe her own journey into leadership and philanthropy.
Susan Geear: Susan Geear is an internationally acclaimed coach, consultant, and social justice advocate, committed to partnering with women and men in leadership to support wide-ranging initiatives for personal, professional, and organizational change.

Scholarships!
Does the Dining for Women Leadership Summit seem out of your reach because of financial concerns? For the first time, Dining For Women is offering five scholarships to September’s summit. Scholarships are available to those attending the full conference only and will cover the conference fee of $225.00. Scholarship recipients will only need to cover their travel and accommodation costs.
To be considered for the scholarship, submit a letter to our scholarship committee stating why you would like to be considered for the scholarship and what you hope to gain from your attendance at the conference. Please include how long you have been a participant in DFW and in what role, as well as why there is a need for scholarship funds. Submissions must be received by July 5, 2010. Letters should be submitted to Debbie Britt and Mary Liz Jones at the following email addresses:
